Let me in…

Title: Let Me In
Montpelier, Ohio
January 4, 2020

Every morning my cats wake me up wanting to go outside for a little bit. Today was no different so I let them out for awhile. Then I decided I would just relax for a bit. I was just laying on the couch watching TV when suddenly I felt like I was being watched. I looked over thinking it was probably my kitties wanting back in. Instead I saw all these deer watching me. A few minutes later my cat, Angel, came to the window. The deer kept watching her in wonder. Angel didn’t seem to want anything to do with them though. In the second photo she has this look on her face that looks like she’s saying, “Mommy please let me in.”

The Encounter

One beautiful autumn morning, Onyx decided to take a walk around his beautiful farm. Now Onyx isn’t your typical everyday cat… he is so handsome with his shiny black fur. All the lady cats love him! As he strolled along, his mind raced as he thought about all the adventures this day might bring. He was so excited!

Reflecting on his past adventures, he wondered if maybe he should go visit the pond. He always enjoyed watching the fish. Maybe he would catch one today! Or maybe he should go visit the barn. He did so love chasing the mice out there. The mice feared the mighty Onyx! Not to mention, his lady friend, Iris might be there.

He was so deep in thought that he almost walked right into these giant animals. “What are these creatures?” he thought to himself.  “Why are they staring at me?”

The creatures stopped in their tracks pausing to wonder at this little black cat. Onyx stopped long enough to consider them, and then continued on his journey. “I will have to tell my mom all about my encounter later.”  The creatures watched him as he walked away.

In that moment, Onyx decided he would go to the barn. He spent hours chasing after the mice. After a short nap cuddled up with Iris, he decided to head home to tell his mom all about his encounter. As she told him all about these interesting creatures called deer, he drifted off to sleep. He would never forget this day.

A Day at the Toledo Zoo with Matchbox Twenty…

September 19, 2017 was one of the most spectacular days I have had in a long time. Matchbox Twenty was playing at the Toledo Zoo Amphitheatre! Spending the day visiting the animals and listening to great live music… I can’t think of anything better than that! I think I’ll just let the photos speak for themselves! Enjoy! 🙂
